REMEMBERING CHET

     Tuesday,the 13TH of May, 2008, marks the 20TH
anniversary of the sad, shocking and untimely death of
my dearest friend, Chet Baker; the most prolifically
lyrical, harmonic, melodic 'total ear' player of all
time.

I can't count the times I've wished you were
standing beside me, Chet. Or how many times I've
talked about you. How many times I've hoped it was you
on the other end of the telephone when it rang, how many
times I've wished I could see your face, your
boyish smile, hear your soft lyrical voice that made
every word you spoke sound like a haunting ballad.

Since your death, the world has not been the
same, nor shall it ever be. You were 'one of a kind'
Chet- truly blessed of GOD!!! Your music lives on in
my heart, body, soul and mind. There isn't a day that
goes by that I don't play your music.

I'll always love you, man,  Artt
